Community Impact
YJP is committed to building a connected, vibrant, and supportive community that extends beyond our regular programs and gatherings. Throughout the year, we create opportunities for people to come together, celebrate life’s milestones, give back, and support one another through community-building and service initiatives. These include toy drives, hospital visits, musical events, sports watch parties, birthday celebrations, baby arrival celebrations, and other gatherings that bring people together in meaningful ways. Through these efforts, YJP helps foster a culture of connection, generosity, friendship, and mutual support—creating an environment where people feel welcomed, valued, and inspired to give back to the greater community at large.
Annual December
Toy Drive
During the holidays, YJP Oahu gives back to our larger island community with an annual toy drive. In past years we provided toys to families in need throughout the state of Hawaii.
Bringing People
Together with Music
YJP’s community music events bring people together through the shared joy of making and enjoying music. Our gatherings include Taiko drumming, jam sessions, live music, and other opportunities for people to play, listen, and connect.
Cheering Together
YJP brings people together to enjoy the excitement of sporting events and the camaraderie that comes with cheering alongside friends and neighbors. From major international matches to local and championship games, our watch parties create a fun, welcoming environment where people can meet, connect, and share memorable experiences.
Celebrating Together
At YJP, we believe that community is about showing up for one another through all of life’s meaningful moments. We celebrate milestones together, from birthdays and new babies to personal achievements and other special occasions. By celebrating life’s milestones as a community, YJP helps foster genuine relationships and a strong sense of belonging.
